ERTU (Egypt)

The Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU إتحاد الإذاعة والتلفزيون المصري‎)  is the public broadcaster of Egypt, operated by the Egyptian government.

Egyptian Radio began in May 1934, National Broadcasting in December 1947.

Stations are: a) General Programmes > 1. Egyptian Radio, 2. Voice of the Arabs, 3. FM Netw.

b) Specialized Programmes > examples are ‘Cultural Radio’, ‘Songs Radio’, Voice of Palestine, etc.

c) Regional Programmes > like Nile Valley Radio or Radio Alexandria

d) International Programmes > Radio Cairo (including Shortwave Programmes)
